As an elite, research intensive, Russell Group institution, the University of York, sets the barrier for entry very high. But, with deep historical roots to the Rowntree family and the Quaker movement, it is also passionately committed to social mobility and equality: a university for public good.
Our work with York’s inspiring Access and Outreach team was an education in how that passion for excellence and equality of opportunity can be a powerful engine for change. Here we played to our strengths in illustration to create a visually stimulating canvas upon which the personal story telling and the big success statistics could be played out. It broke the mould for York: which is just what their Access and Outreach teams are doing.

Founded 50 years ago, Yorkshire Netball wanted to evolve from being a functional governing body into a vibrant, inclusive, and progressive force in Northern sport.
The rebrand aimed to shift perceptions from an organisation focused on competition
to a movement that champions empowerment, connection, and pride in netball
across Yorkshire.
Its strength lies in uniting Yorkshire pride with inclusive empowerment.
While others focus on performance, Yorkshire Netball can own the emotional
space of belonging, “where everyone in Yorkshire has a place to play, grow, and belong”, becoming both a symbol of identity and a driver of positive change.
